Hey all. So, let’s get this obligatory introduction post out of the way, tout-friggin-suite, shall we?

My husband and I both game. Granted, he’s way better at it than I am, but sometimes he needs help; particularly whenever he needs to find a certain item or location in-game. Now, you’d think an avid lifetime gamer wouldn’t be technologically impaired, right? Well, this man is proof that that isn’t always the case. He cannot Google or search to save his life…and so the task falls to me.

“Hey, love? Can you find out where the hell _____ is?” he asks, while I’m wrangling a toddler with about as much sass as a 14 year old.

“Sure thing,” I say, and one-handed, I begin searching. And yet, even I, the “adept” one in our family regarding the interwebz, find myself getting frustrated… because the first guide I click on is bullshit. I tell the other half where to go in-game, and whaddaya know?! The thing he is looking for isn’t there… so we go to another guide. Still more bullshit, because whoever wrote THAT one can’t even get their East and West right, sending us in the opposite direction of where we need to go. Three more bullshit guides, possibly written by people who can’t tell their ass from a hole in the ground, later and we have come up with where the CORRECT location is.

So one day, supportive and innovative man that he is, after one such bullshit game guide expedition, my husband turns to me and says “Why don’t you blog your own game guide that has the RIGHT information in it? So people can find what they want in one fell swoop.” Why the hell not? It’s worth a try, right?

And so, I’m bringing to you my best version of a No More Bullshit Game Guide. This is going to be a slow work in progress for me, because A) I’ve never written a game guide before, and B) there are some games I pretty well suck at.

As of right now (1/16/2019) I’m currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2, and trying to write down everything that I can possibly think of to make a good guide. I’m only about 10% into the main story missions, but I tend to do side quests and collecting prior to most story missions anyway. I think I’ll be able to post my first guide related page on Friday evening, January 18, assuming I get as much game time as possible in tomorrow and Friday afternoon.

If, in any of my posts, you see any incorrect information, or if I screwed something up or left something out, feel free to go to my contact page and send me your feedback.

Thanks, and good gaming!
