Hey all, I sincerely apologize for not updating this Saturday. Life gets in the way and I’m sure y’all don’t wanna hear my excuses, so let’s dive right on into this guide!
So, who wants a cool $1,500 in the form of three gold bars!? The process to do this takes some time if you want to do it the legitimate way, but anyone who wants to skip straight to getting the moolah, scroll down and keep an eye out for the word “SOLUTION” in bold below.
Alrighty! So the state of Ambarino actually has a LOT of nifty things to explore, and the Strange Statues interest yields a good amount of gold for your efforts. To get started, you’ll want to visit a lovely place called “Window Rock,” which you can find on the map below.

You’ll be heading Northwest of Fort Wallace and climbing the Window Rock formation until you see the, aptly named, window.

Stand in that window and turn left to see some funky native “cave” painting. Arthur will jot down a sketch of the centerpiece of the painting in his journal. Now, some guides said to study the painting hard but I honestly still don’t understand how they found the answer from this painting…

After you get finished taking in the awesome view from Window Rock, you’ll want to head East.

The cave with the Strange Statues is slightly beneath the I in Ambarino.

The entrance looks like an ass crack…haha! It’s super easy to miss, too. I must have rode past that thing about three times…

Just past the cave entrance you’ll see the aforementioned Statues. A bunch of nude dudes surrounding a sphinx, I think? Anywho, here’s the easiest way to get the gold:
THE SOLUTION
Once you’re in the chamber with the Statues, turn around to face the entrance you just walked through. The first Statue that you’ll push the button on is the Statue to the left of the entrance, as shown below.

Now, you’re going to be moving counter-clockwise (left) around the Statues. After you have pushed that first button, skip the next statue you come to, and go to the next one down. Push that button, then the button on the next Statue as well. Skip the next Statue, then push the button on the Statue after that.
Put into words, that’s really freaking confusing, so take a look at the diagram below for some help. The arrow is the cave entrance. Do NOT push the buttons on the Statues with an X over them.

Make more sense that way? I hope so. If you mess up, you can go to the back of the Statue and press the button there to “undo” the mistake.
After the fourth Statue’s button is pressed, the secret stash should be open on the Sphinx Statue.

If it’s open, run up and grab those three gold bars! Then you can visit your favorite fence and get a total of $1,500 for all three!
I hope this helps y’all out, and again, I’m sorry for the delay.
